another interviewe dam cute!!
First, on December 4th, Tohoshinki arrived at Haneda and went straight to the Prince Stellar Ball in Kanagawa in order to perform live at the "One Piece" Christmas party. This party was an event to celebrate and was a gathering of the people who dub voices for the "One Piece" characters, and for the artists who sang the opening and ending themes.
Already, as everyone knows from magazines and the like, from February, Tohoshinki will be singing the "One Piece" theme, so it is said that they have joined the "One Piece" team. The title of the ending theme song is "Asu Wa Kuru Kara". ["Because Tomorrow Comes"] This song is their new single that will be released on March 8, 2006.
On this day, they sang live and it was the first performance of the song. The live performances were scheduled for 2:00 and 6:00 and the rehearsals were held from morning until one hour before the performance
The five members arrived at the event location promptly at noon. Backstage, everyone except Jun Su was sleeping with their heads on the tables. Jun Su also seemed sleepy but he reacted to the voices of the staff in the corridor and appeared in the corridor, rubbing his eyes.
Jun Su said, "Aah, everyone, I haven't seen you for a long time. Have you been well? We are very sleepy (laughs). When we are in the airplane, we can get a lot of sleep, but because Japan is close and we get here quickly, we're still tired." Aw, poor thing, Jun Su.
Right away, the make-up artist and the stylist caught him and said "Jun Su, you're up! Let's do your make-up!" "Starting with you, let's change your clothes." While preparing, Jun Su tells the staff funny stories about when they were in Korea. Jun Su hasn't spoken Japanese and he is not used to speaking so he's forgotten some. I'm impressed that he's practicing to get his Japanese back.
And then around the time everyone finished changing their clothes, it was Tohoshinki's turn to rehearse. The five members were all standing on the stage. Somehow, because they were so nervous, their feeling of sleepiness went away. They all looked serious standing on the stage and doing the mic test.
Then, the first performance ended safely and they had they had 1 hour or less until the 2nd performance so they had their fitting for the photo shoot of the jacket, which was to be the following day.
On this day, it was cold outside and sleet fell. It is warm in the room, but it still seems cold because the boys keep changing clothes and taking Polaroid shots. But this time, they didn't complain. Jae Joong amused everyone and made them laugh by making comments like a professional designer – "This time, it's pure white? That's good, isn't it. It's clean. Ah, how much do these cost? These are cool clothes! The shape and material are nice."
(Jun Su laughs, a little embarrassed) My clothes are fitted so it seems like a woman's clothes. I feel a little funny. Jun Su was wearing a thin jersey t-shirt.
Chang Min's underwear was showing by his waistband so the members teased him that his underwear is so colorful. In defense and in response to the member's comments, Chang Min said, "Is it too flashy/gaudy? [asking about his underwear] It's lovely! I am young so it's okay!"
Today, Chang Min's underwear had all anime characters (laughs).
And then while they were taking proofs for the photo shoot, although they were just proofs, Yun Ho was posing like it was the real shoot. The cameraman said "Yun Ho, take pictures", then shouted "1, 2, 3" (in Korean) and at each count, Yun Ho changed his pose. "Which way should I face this time?" Yun Ho asked, being conscious of being professional while standing in front of the camera.
Because Yoo Chun didn't have time to sleep due to a Korean television show recording, he was exhausted and fell asleep while waiting for his instructions. "Yoo Chun! Yoo Chun!" the staff called in a loud voice, trying to wake him, but he couldn't get up. Yoo Chun, I can't believe you can sleep that deeply. But while being tired and fighting sleep, Yoo Chun persevered to finish his fitting.
The following day…
And then, December 5th was the next day. The jacket photo shoot was conducted at a house studio in Meguro. Today, they had to be on the plane by 12 noon and had to return to Korea so they entered the studio at 5 in the morning!
The studio was warmed by the staff before everyone arrived. There was no time to waste so for the sake of getting ready for the photo shoot, the staff arrived at the studio at 4 in the morning, and waited for the boys to arrive. The staff thought the boys must be hungry so they prepared kim-chi soup and some other types of soup. The boys arrived and they looked better than the staff expected.
"Good morning! Ah, is this okay to eat!?" they asked, and as we thought, everyone immediately ran up to the soup. The 5 members put nigiri [rice balls] into their soup when eating.
"Because yesterday I slept early, this is so good!" Yoo Chun said. He felt good having had a good sleep for the first time in a long time. Similarly, from the beginning of the morning, Jae Joong, Yun Ho, Jun Su and Chang Min had lots of energy.
But today, the person who felt the most nervous was the stylist. In conjunction with the image for the song, this time, the design of the entire outfit was pure white so the stylist was nervous that the boys would spill the soup on their outfits (laughs).
The boys knew the stylist was very nervous about the outfits so they tried to not get them dirty. Being protective of the hem of their pants, they were walking around on tiptoes. They know if they get the clothes dirty, they have to buy it. From their experience at other photo shoots, they are used to keeping their outfits clean.
Jae Joong said to the stylist, "Kei-san, you worry, don't you. (laughs) You'll get in trouble if we get these dirty!" But just after Jae Joong said that, while Chang Min was talking to the staff, he hit the strobe light with his leg and fell down, getting the knee of his pants dirty. Everybody saw his pants get dirty and instead of worrying about him falling down, they all started laughing very loudly.
By the way, the person who laughed the most was Jun Su (laughs).
Chang Min was trying not to get dirty, but he fell down pretty badly so he couldn't help laughing at himself along with everyone else.
This time, the jacket image is to express an image that is natural and clear, in the middle of warm air so the photo shoot was relaxed and the mood was relaxed from beginning to end. But, it was not so easy for that to happen! (laughs)
For the group shots, hard times were coming up!
They were told to take off their socks and all five members started yelling. Because the floor was made from tile, when they stood barefoot on it, it was cold.
"It's cooooold ~~~ " Jun Su said, as he moved his feet up and down, trying not to step on the floor.
"Towel, towel! Bath towel!" said Jae Joong and Yoo Chun.
"Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, my feet, my feet!" said Yun Ho.
Chang Min withstood it and was silent. Everyone expressed their reaction to the cold differently. Ho ho. Their character comes out with their reaction. I'm impressed by their reactions.
Because Jae Joong and Yoo Chun had the idea to ask for a bath towel, one was put on the floor and all 5 members stood on it like sparrows on a window ledge.
"Yes! The production! Take pictures!" the camera man said. The staff tried to remove the bath towel. "Aah! That's unkind! That's terrible! Feel sorry for us!" Yun Ho said, extremely agitated. In the studio, it was 8 in the morning, and the voices of the energetic 5 boys resounded in the studio.
Anyway, with everyone hanging in there and the perseverance of the staff, the photo shoot was over by 10:00 a.m. The members gave each staff member a hug and then returned to KoreaLater, the following week, they all came back to Japan for a magazine photo shoot. The filming of the PV was scheduled for the 14th. But, because of heavy snow, the shooting of the PV had to be postponed. The day they were supposed to shoot the PV became a day off instead.
Having a day off after a long time, I thought they would sleep a lot, but they didn't. Guess what? They heard about a mini-soccer court on the top of the record company building so they played a game on their day off. Jun Su, who wanted to be a soccer player, became the center of the game [major player].
